Week 3!!!

Okay so I knew that this class would be a bit difficult, didn't think I would need a partner! ...I'm glad I have one! lol

Last week my partner and I came up some great characters:

• Fish
• Turtle
• Octopus (original character)

I will need to do the front and back drawings along with a few facial expressions for the Turtle and Fish (I think that was my part) She came up with the story, finished the script and is doing the story board. It seems like a lot now that I think about it... but if she doesn't finish I will be more than happy to assist her :).

Monday, we will have to present our ideas and a few examples of characters - talk about our story and answer questions... hopefully receive positive feedback from our peers.

This has been a crazy week with all my other classes - my projects/homework have been so overwhelming that I have not had time to even breath!

Maybe this next week will be better!!!! Wish me luck!!!!

Week 2 :P

SOOOO... this week as been interesting - trying to find an apartment, get a part-time job, do homework and attend classes, and on top of everything keep my sanity.

Monday was class - 1-4:50pm - Animation

I was there, mentally - no. After a crazy busy day I hope that I got something out of this class. I have a plethora of items due week 6, hopefully I can finish with no group to help :(

I will need to start off by creating a story, characters, all that fun stuff for my cartoon.... what to do, what to do????

...ANOTHER semester!?!?!

Intermediate 2D Animation!
...what is this exactly? UGH! Well, as usual I will grin and bear it - at lest for this blog assignment. I'm sure somewhere down the road I will need to know this...

Let me start off by saying - I am Monika Hamm, most of you know me by "Mo". I am 26 years old, happily married and NO kids... not yet at least. :) I am attending the Art Institute of Indianapolis studying for a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design. 5 semesters in the program with 6.5 semesters left. *Woot Woot* At this point in my studies I am interested in Environmental Design... we will see how that goes - wish me luck!

This semester I have:

• Business Law
• Design History
• Design Layout
• Digital Illustration

This blog will be a reflection of my progression this semester. I am to create a short story cartoon in Flash and give you weekly updates. Please leave questions, comments, anything you might want to add :)
